Competitor
Prizes are nice, however, I compete for reasons that are much closer to my heart; to spread the message of autism awareness and to inspire others to stay in the fight.
“I compete to get the message out that autism is treatable. That’s the main reason I do what I do.”
When I entered my first pageant 20 years ago, I never knew what an important role it would play in my life as I married, had children, and experienced life changing events.
I am so thankful for everything I have learned along the way and the people I have met. The experiences, judges, and fellow competitors have helped me become the person I am today: a strong women who is not afraid to stand up for what I believe in and conquer any obstacle that may try to get in my way.
Marching in Washington D. C., speaking on the Capitol steps and receiving a proclamation on behalf of our Governor are just a few of the accomplishments I have achieved through pageantry.
I will be forever grateful for everything I have gained as a competitor.
